Blanakour Festival preparations accelerate in Diffa region

Preparations are entering their final stages for the third edition of the Blanakour Craft and Culture Festival (FARCUB), scheduled to take place from September 4 to 6 in the N’Gourti department of the Diffa region.

A high-level official delegation, including the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts and the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, visited the site on August 27 to inspect progress. Organizers report that preparations are currently estimated to be over 75% complete.

The festival's theme, “Artisanship and culture, factors of economic sovereignty and social cohesion,” aims to use local heritage and craftsmanship as drivers for economic development, community dialogue, and regional resilience.
