Blanca Anzaldúa seeks Morena candidacy for Cd. Victoria mayor

Blanca Anzaldúa Nájera, a Morena deputy, has confirmed her intention to seek the municipal coordination for the defense of the transformation in Cd. Victoria, Tamaulipas. Anzaldúa emphasized the need for a prepared and experienced woman to lead the municipality, noting that while women have held the mayoral position in Victoria previously, they did so as interim replacements rather than through popular vote.

Anzaldúa, who has a background in teacher union organization, stated that the final decision rests with the Morena party to select the best profile for the candidacy. She also clarified that a recent meeting with Governor Américo Villarreal was not regarding her political aspirations, but rather to discuss a public policy initiative concerning autism in basic education students.
