Blanes police conduct security operation in Mas Enlaire
The Blanes Local Police conducted an eight-day special security and coexistence operation in the Mas Enlaire neighborhood from August 3 to August 10. The deployment followed concerns raised by residents regarding anti-social behavior in the area.
During the operation, officers issued 27 reports or citations. The majority, 17 cases, involved the consumption of alcohol in public spaces. Other recorded incidents included three refusals to identify oneself, three instances of drug possession, one case of suspected cannabis possession, one report of public urination, one act of disobedience, and one complaint regarding neighborhood disturbances.
Following the operation, local authorities, including Mayor Jordi Hernández and Police Chief Javier Jarillo, met with the Mas Enlaire Neighborhood Association to discuss the results. The association expressed satisfaction with the increased police presence, and authorities stated they will continue to monitor the situation and adapt their actions based on evolving incidents.
