Blanka Vlašić Duvanjska desetka Tomislavgrad 10K race retirement

Former Croatian high‑jump champion Blanka Vlašić, who retired from professional athletics in February 2021, made her first official road‑race appearance at the 12th edition of the Duvanjska desetka 10‑kilometre run in Tomislavgrad. Wearing start number 1, she completed the three‑lap course in 51 minutes and 54 seconds, marking her debut in competitive running since retirement.

Vlašić, a two‑time world champion, shared the experience on Instagram, noting that the race was the result of a new collaboration between her home club ASK Split and local club AK Puls Tomislavgrad. She highlighted her continued passion for sport despite focusing on entrepreneurship and family life since 2021, and expressed that the event reaffirmed her love for competition.
