Blaqbonez reveals he took his stage name from a friend

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, has disclosed that he acquired his stage name from a friend.

During an interview, the rapper explained that the name originally belonged to a friend who enjoyed rap music but was not actively pursuing a career in the industry. Akumefule stated that the incident occurred while he was still in school. He noted that because the friend was not using the name for any professional purposes, he approached him to ask for permission to use it, ultimately adopting the moniker 'Blaqbonez' for his own musical career.
