Blaupunkt announces BodyTag smart baby monitor

Blaupunkt has announced the BodyTag, a new smart baby monitor designed to replace traditional camera-based systems. The device functions as a wearable sensor that can be attached to a baby's diaper.

To prioritize data privacy and security, the BodyTag operates via a direct Bluetooth connection to a smartphone rather than using Wi-Fi or cloud-based internet services. This approach is intended to minimize the risk of remote hacking. The system tracks vital signs, including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and fever, and sends alerts directly to the parents' mobile devices.

The monitor is designed for infants aged 0 to 18 months, with a weight range between 2.5 and 13.5 kilograms. The product is expected to be presented in conjunction with IFA 2026 in Berlin.
