Blayney hospital redevelopment reaches new construction milestone

Construction has reached a new milestone in the redevelopment of the Blayney Multipurpose Service (MPS) in New South Wales. Concrete was recently poured to lay the foundations for several new facilities, including a HealthOne facility, an emergency department, a reception area, and an ambulatory care zone.

The project is being delivered in stages to maintain existing clinical services and minimize disruption to patients and staff. The new wing will include single rooms with private bathrooms, additional inpatient beds, and chair-based services, with provisions for future expansion. Construction is expected to be completed by 2027.

Part of the NSW Government’s $297 million Multipurpose Service Program, the redevelopment is being managed by Health Infrastructure and the Western NSW Local Health District in partnership with Taylor Construction Group. The initiative aims to improve access to contemporary aged care and healthcare services for the local community.
