Bleecker Street appoints Frank Martinez as Head of Distribution

Bleecker Street has appointed Frank Martinez as its new Head of Distribution. Martinez, who joins the company immediately, will oversee theatrical distribution strategies, planning, and execution for both the Bleecker Street and Crosswalk film slates.

Martinez transitions to Bleecker Street from A24, where he served as Head of Theatrical Sales. During his tenure at A24, the studio’s annual domestic box office grew from $151 million in 2023 to over $333 million. His previous experience includes serving as Executive Director of Domestic Distribution at Paramount Pictures, where he worked on major franchises such as ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Mission: Impossible’, and ‘Scream’.

Bleecker Street CEO Kent Sanderson described Martinez as one of the most ‘insightful, analytical and creative minds in theatrical distribution,’ noting his role will be vital as the company prioritizes the cinematic experience.
