Bülent Turan calls for resignations amid AK Party fund crisis

Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Bülent Turan has called for individuals responsible for recent errors within the AK Party to step aside. Speaking in Lapseki, Turan addressed the ongoing fund crisis, emphasizing that those who commit mistakes should not jeopardize the party's standing or burden President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turan stated that political responsibility should be taken immediately, rather than waiting for the conclusion of judicial or regulatory investigations. He noted that while technical reports and legal processes will determine guilt or innocence, the political necessity requires those involved to resign to maintain the party's integrity.

During the event, which included a ceremony for new party members, Turan reaffirmed his long-standing support for President Erdoğan, noting that the President is known for not forgiving those who act incorrectly within the administration.
