Kosovo Assembly finalizes composition of 16 parliamentary commissions

The Kosovo Assembly has voted on the formation and composition of its 16 parliamentary commissions, enabling the functionalization of these bodies. Various political groups have submitted their nominations for leadership and membership roles.

Political parties have proposed several chairpersons. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) will lead three commissions, with Enver Hoxhaj heading the Education Commission, Arben Mustafa leading the Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Innovation Commission, and Uran Ismaili heading the Health Commission. The Alliance has proposed Bekë Berisha as the chair of the Commission for the Oversight of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI).

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has proposed two chairpersons: Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu for the European Integration Commission and Besian Mustafa for the Public Finance Oversight Commission. Additionally, the Multiethnic Group will lead the Commission for Public Administration, Digitalization, Local Government, Media, and Regional Development, with Albert Kinolli appointed as chair.
