Blessing CEO released from Nigerian prison after fraud allegations

Nigerian social media influencer and relationship expert Blessing Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, was released from detention on October 24, 2026, after spending four months in custody. Her release was announced by actress Doris Ogala via Instagram.

Okoro had been facing multiple legal challenges brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). These include allegations of property fraud involving ₦36 million, a ₦69.15 million tenancy fraud case, and a ₦13 million case involving the alleged falsification of cancer results to solicit donations. While she had previously been granted bail, she was remanded in the Kuje and Kirikiri correctional centres after failing to meet certain bail terms.

Following her release, Okoro addressed social media rumors regarding drug use, stating, “I don’t do drugs. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t even party.” Her period of detention was marked by personal tragedy, including the reported loss of her second son to an asthma attack while in custody.
