Bligh Walter moves from Australia to compete in Idol Sweden

Australian student Bligh Walter has reached the live finals of the singing competition Idol in Sweden. Walter moved to Sweden seeking adventure, attracted by the country's perceived differences in language and culture.

While studying at KTH, Walter gained a social media following of over 60,000 on Instagram by sharing music and humorous observations about the Swedish language and lifestyle. He was discovered by an Idol producer through his social media presence, who encouraged him to audition. Walter noted that he was initially unaware that the Idol format existed in Sweden, having previously believed it was primarily an American concept.
