Poland implements major administrative and judicial digitalization reforms
Poland is undergoing significant administrative and legal digitalization. Starting October 1, 2026, entrepreneurs registered in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) before January 1, 2025, will be required to have an active electronic delivery address (ADE) to communicate with public administration. Without this, it will be impossible to submit applications for changes to CEIDG entries.
In the judicial sector, the Ministry of Justice is preparing reforms to move civil proceedings online. By June 1, 2027, files for economic and intellectual property cases are expected to be managed exclusively in electronic form. This includes the use of a dedicated Information Portal for communication between professionals and courts, and the potential use of AI tools for generating automated written protocols during hearings.
Additionally, the business landscape is addressing cybersecurity and data protection, including discussions on the digitalization of Blue Card procedures and the impact of group-wide data on cybersecurity obligations.
