Blind man drives 240 kilometers while intoxicated
Anthony Hall, a visually impaired man from Huddersfield, UK, drove a stolen vehicle for 240 kilometers while under the influence of alcohol. Hall, who lost his sight approximately two years ago, used the red taillights of trucks on the M6 motorway to navigate his path toward Scotland.
During the journey, Hall managed to stop at a petrol station with the assistance of an employee. The dangerous drive ended near Carlisle when police observed the Vauxhall Meriva weaving between lanes and driving on the hard shoulder. Upon being stopped, officers discovered Hall was intoxicated and driving without a license.
