Blink-182 drummer recounts difficult 2004 tour performance
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker recently recounted a difficult experience during a 2004 tour with Cypress Hill. In an interview with Apple Music, Barker described how members of Cypress Hill, specifically B-Real and Sen Dog, convinced him and guitarist Tom DeLonge to smoke cannabis shortly before their final show of the tour in Minneapolis.
Barker described the performance as an “endless ordeal” and a “nightmare,” noting that the songs felt as though they lasted forever. He recalled that DeLonge expressed a desire to go home mid-set due to the discomfort. Despite the musicians' personal struggle during the set, some fans and historical recordings suggest the performance was perceived as electrifying by the audience.
