Blizzard faces server issues during Diablo 4 Season 15 launch

Blizzard Entertainment’s launch of Diablo 4 Season 15, titled ‘Hell’s Legacy,’ faced significant technical hurdles on September 15, 2026. The season, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Diablo franchise, was officially delayed due to widespread server and login issues. Players reported error codes 3000008 and 3000006, preventing access across PC, consoles, and the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 version. While a hotfix was eventually deployed to restore access, the Solo Self-Found mode remained temporarily disabled to ensure stability.

Alongside the seasonal launch, Blizzard announced several major updates during BlizzCon 2026. The company confirmed that Diablo 4 will not receive further major expansions, focusing instead on seasonal content and updates. Meanwhile, development is underway for Diablo 5, which is slated for a spring 2029 release and is expected to feature a record number of character classes. Additionally, Blizzard is collaborating with Netflix to develop an animated Diablo series, with potential future adaptations for the Overwatch and Warcraft universes.

To celebrate the milestone, Diablo 4 is currently participating in a free weekend on Steam, allowing players to experience the base game for free until September 21, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is available via the ‘Age of Hatred Collection,’ which bundles the base game with the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions.
