Blizzard announces World of Warcraft Forever for November 2026 launch
Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced World of Warcraft Forever, the long-rumored ‘Classic Plus’ project, during BlizzCon 2026. The game is set to launch on November 4, 2026, and will serve as a permanent third pillar alongside the modern and original Classic versions of the MMORPG.
Designed to expand the original Azeroth experience without increasing the level cap beyond 60, the game will feature over 1,000 new quests, nine new dungeons, and two major raids supporting 10 and 20 players. New content includes three additional zones—Zephras Isle, Riverglades, and Mount Hyjal—and a new playable race called the Skyborne. The project aims to maintain the core mechanics of the early era while introducing modern design improvements, such as updated visuals and new race/class combinations like Undead Paladins.
A beta testing period is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 21, 2026. While access is included for existing WoW subscribers, Blizzard is offering various paid upgrade packs that provide guaranteed beta access, the Skyborne race, and other exclusive content.
