Blizzard announces World of Warcraft: The Last Titan for 2027

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the twelfth expansion for World of Warcraft, titled ‘The Last Titan’, is scheduled for release in 2027. The announcement was made during BlizzCon 2026, where a brief teaser was revealed.

The teaser features the snowy landscape of Northrend and depicts a massive dark figure or iron giant approaching a structure, such as the Dragonflight Temple, before unleashing a powerful energy beam. Blizzard executive Holly Longdale stated that the expansion aims to bring ‘war’ back to ‘Warcraft’, promising large-scale warfare and increased action.

Before the launch of ‘The Last Titan’, players will experience the ‘Eclipse’ update for the ‘Midnight’ expansion this winter. This update will focus on the character Xal’atath and include a new area called The Mantle Vault, along with updates to Player Housing. Additionally, a ‘Remix’ version of the ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ expansion is expected to arrive in the summer.
