Blizzard expands World of Warcraft account-wide progression

Blizzard Entertainment is expanding account-wide progression features in World of Warcraft. Following the paradigm shift introduced with the “The War Within” expansion, the upcoming Patch 12.1.5 will extend reputation systems to older content.

Specifically, reputation factions from the “Legion” and “Battle for Azeroth” expansions will become account-wide. This means progress made on one character will be shared across all characters on the same account, fulfilling a long-standing developer promise to make achievements more accessible beyond individual characters.

Separately, discussions regarding the future of the franchise continue ahead of BlizzCon. Speculation persists regarding a potential “WoW Classic+” or a reboot of the original game experience, with players expressing interest in a version that recaptures the sense of exploration and mystery found in the game's earliest years.
