Blizzard prepares stress test for World of Warcraft: Forever
Blizzard is preparing for the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever with a scheduled stress test on October 19. The test, appearing in the Battle.net launcher, is intended to evaluate server infrastructure and stability ahead of the official European release on November 4-5.
Unlike previous expansions that utilized early access to split player traffic, World of Warcraft: Forever will utilize a single “mega-server” model without traditional realms. To address potential issues such as login queues, lag, and server congestion, Blizzard has implemented a new server structure where players select a region-based rule set rather than a specific realm.
The current beta remains active until October 21, featuring a level cap of 30, a new dungeon titled “Excavation Site: Wetlands,” and the “Darkspear Islands” PvP battleground. Access to the beta requires the purchase of the Epic Skyborne package.
