Blizzard and Wizards of the Coast announce major gaming updates

Blizzard Entertainment is conducting closed beta tests for World of Warcraft: Forever, which has reportedly seen its highest participant numbers to date. Developers Holly Longdale and Clay Stone noted that the new Camping System has successfully fostered social interaction. The game aims to maintain the combat simplicity of the 2004 original while focusing on horizontal world expansion rather than purely increasing item statistics. However, the introduction of a new Dalaran dungeon has sparked debate among players, as a specific questline currently allows Horde players to enter the Alliance-aligned city.

In the trading card game sector, Wizards of the Coast announced the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Marvel set, titled Darkhold Destiny, scheduled for release on April 9th next year. The set features a custom narrative involving characters like Doctor Strange, Thor, and Hela, utilizing three magic schools: Arcane, Divine, and Dark. The expansion introduces the Vengeance mechanic, allowing players to cast spells from the graveyard when certain creatures die.
