Blizzard's Diablo IV Patch Lifts Mythic Crafting Limit

Blizzard released Patch 3.1.1a for Diablo IV on July 17, 2026, responding to widespread community criticism of Season 14's Mythic Unique restrictions. The hotfix removes the “one‑crafted Mythic” limit, allowing players to equip multiple crafted Mythic items simultaneously, and raises the drop rates for Mythic and Iconic Unique items from the Corrupted Reaper.

The update also fixes a bug that let players add Mythic modifiers to Unique Charms and Seals, which was unintended. Blizzard noted the change is temporary and that a revised restriction will return in Season 15 when the Horadric Cube receives a major overhaul, introducing a direct upgrade path that preserves the original Unique item.

The patch aims to make end‑game grinding more rewarding and to restore value to the crafting system after players reported that the previous limitation reduced the incentive to farm materials.
