Blockaid expands onchain security monitoring suite

Blockaid, a New York-based onchain security platform utilized by Coinbase, MetaMask, and Uniswap, has announced the expansion of its Onchain Monitoring suite. The move comes as cryptocurrency attacks shift focus from traditional smart-contract vulnerabilities toward operational and infrastructure compromises.

According to data released by the company, 74% of stolen crypto value in the first half of 2026 resulted from infrastructure-related breaches. The company reported that the number of such incidents has increased approximately 3.4 times compared to the total recorded in 2025. Blockaid warned that compromised signers, outdated deployments, or vulnerable third-party protocols can expose all connected assets and applications.

The expanded suite introduces three primary capabilities: continuous discovery of onchain exposure, mapping of third-party dependencies, and detection of ecosystem-wide threats. The system utilizes real-time machine learning and automated investigation to inspect contract bytecode, resolve proxies, and simulate transactions. To mitigate threats, the platform employs automated onchain circuit breakers and provides a 24/7 incident war room.
