Bloctel data breach and utility theft in Senegal
In France, the Bloctel service has reportedly suffered a data breach, resulting in the exposure of approximately 3 million telephone numbers.
In Senegal, police in Dalifort have dismantled a theft ring involving utility equipment. Authorities discovered two containers filled with hundreds of stolen Sen’Eau water meters and Sonatel copper cables at the Westaf Metals Sénégal facility. Two suspects, identified as D. Corréa and C. D. Diouf, were arrested. During the investigation, one suspect reportedly attempted to bribe officers with 2.5 million CFA francs to suppress the case.
