Blok M Hub redevelopment to begin next week as TOD zone

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is set to begin the groundbreaking for the Blok M Hub redevelopment next week. The project aims to transform the Blok M area into a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) zone.

Governor Pramono Anung stated that the development is a collaboration between PT MRT Jakarta and professional developers. The project will feature the construction of two new towers intended to house residential apartments, hotels, shopping malls, and public activity spaces.

The initiative is designed to create a more structured and planned urban environment, which is expected to stimulate economic activity in the surrounding area. This Blok M development is intended to serve as a model for future TOD projects in other parts of Jakarta, including locations such as Harmoni, Pasar Baru, Glodok Pecinan, Kota Tua, Kelapa Gading, and Manggarai.
