Blondel Group invests in electric tractor fleet

The Blondel Group, a specialist in critical operations transport and logistics, has announced the addition of seven new electric tractors to its fleet. These vehicles are primarily intended for deliveries in city centers and urban peripheries, such as the Île-de-France region, covering daily distances of 300 to 400 kilometers. During testing, the vehicles have demonstrated capabilities of up to 550 kilometers per day.

As part of its ‘Go Green’ decarbonization plan, the family-owned company is investing nearly 10 million euros in vehicles and charging infrastructure. This investment aims to support the electrification of its heavy goods vehicles and company cars. The group targets a fleet composition of 5% electric heavy goods vehicles by 2027, increasing to 15% by 2028.

In addition to vehicle acquisition, Blondel is investing 4 million euros in charging infrastructure. Approximately 30 charging stations have already been installed or are currently being deployed, with support from EDF.
