Blondie announces twelfth studio album ‘High Noon’

New wave band Blondie has announced their twelfth studio album, titled ‘High Noon’, scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, via BMG. The announcement follows a nine-year hiatus since their 2017 release, ‘Pollinator’.

The upcoming album holds significant emotional weight as it features the final studio recordings of founding drummer Clem Burke, who passed away in April 2025 at the age of 70. The sessions originally began in New York in 2022.

The band has released the first single, ‘Spectral Eyes’, which features guitar work by former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr. The track blends the band’s signature new wave and punk roots with dance rhythms and Latin influences. Other collaborators on the project include Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Zach Condon of Beirut, and members of the group Lucius.
