Bloober Team announces Cronos: Lazarus DLC release date

Bloober Team has officially announced that Cronos: Lazarus, the first narrative expansion for the sci-fi survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn, will be released on December 3, 2026. The DLC will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S at a price of 9.99 euros/dollars, with a version for Nintendo Switch 2 planned for the first quarter of 2027.

Serving as a prequel to the original game, the expansion shifts the protagonist from the Traveler to the Pathfinder, an elite agent of the Collective. Players will experience the events that led to the character's transformation into the Warden while uncovering secrets regarding the Collective's authority. The story follows the Pathfinder's attempt to recover a lost Essence while being hunted by the Tracker, a relentless envoy sent to eliminate him.

Gameplay in the DLC is expected to be faster and more aggressive than the base game, emphasizing tactical precision and rapid combat. New mechanics include teleportation for repositioning, a decoy ability to distract enemies, and the introduction of the Gladius, a weapon designed for more lethal and direct attacks.
