Health campaigns focus on blood donation and cancer awareness

Various health initiatives and solidarity campaigns are underway across several regions focusing on blood donation and cancer awareness.

In Spain, multiple cities are hosting events to bolster medical reserves and support cancer patients. Alcázar de San Juan held a blood and plasma marathon to prepare for upcoming holiday demand. Málaga is organizing its 18th blood donation marathon with a goal of 500 donations, while Alicante is hosting a marathon for blood and bone marrow donation. In Zamora and Melilla, the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) is organizing solidarity races to raise awareness and funds. Additionally, Alicante is hosting solidarity marches for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

In Argentina, Córdoba held a special hemodonation day to support pediatric cancer patients, involving multiple blood banks and the Red Cross. In Aruba, the Ministry of Health organized an event to emphasize the importance of early breast cancer detection and community support.

Other local health efforts include a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) workshop for students in San Fernando, Spain, and advocacy by the Saray Association in Navarra regarding waiting lists for cancer follow-up appointments.
