Blood donation campaigns launch in O Porriño and Corralejo

Blood donation campaigns are underway across different regions of Spain to maintain hospital reserves during the summer months.

In O Porriño, the Axencia de Doazón de Órganos e Sangue (ADOS) is conducting the “Un aliento de vida” campaign. The initiative aims to secure approximately 22,000 donations by the end of August. Mobile units are visiting over 170 Galician municipalities to facilitate access, as summer is a sensitive period due to the relocation of regular donors.

In Corralejo, the Servicio Canario de la Salud (SCS) has deployed a mobile unit in La Oliva to assist residents and visitors. This effort is designed to sustain the supply of hemoderivatives for hospital centers. In addition to the mobile unit, the fixed donation point at the Hospital General de Fuerteventura remains operational.
