Blood donation campaigns organized in Marchena and Tarragona

Multiple blood and plasma donation campaigns are being organized across Spain to replenish medical reserves following the summer period.

In Marchena, the Centro de Transfusión, Tejidos y Células de Sevilla will host a three-day campaign from September 21 to 23, 2026. The event will take place at the Casa Hermandad de la Humildad between 17:00 and 21:00. Organizers are seeking donors of all blood types who meet health requirements, including being over 18 and weighing more than 50 kilograms.

In Tarragona, the Marató de Donants de Sang i Plasma has been extended to three days to facilitate higher participation. Held at the Teatre Tarragona, the campaign runs from the afternoon of Thursday, September 17, through midday on Saturday, September 19. The goal is to reach 800 donations to stabilize reserves at the Banc de Sang i Teixits, which typically see a 20% decrease in donations during the summer months.
