Blood donation drive scheduled in Jaworzyna Śląska, Poland on July 29

A blood donation event is set for Wednesday, 29 July at the municipal stadium in Jaworzyna Śląska, Poland. The drive will run from 09:30 to 13:30 and aims to collect 450 ml of blood per donor – enough to save three lives.

The Regional Center for Blood Donation and Transfusion in Wałbrzych has reported acute shortages of blood groups 0 Rh+, 0 Rh‑, A Rh‑ and B Rh‑. Organizers are urging healthy adults aged 18‑65 who weigh at least 50 kg to donate, provided they have not undergone recent acupuncture, tattooing, ear‑piercing, major surgery or endoscopic procedures, and have not received blood products in the past six months. Donors must arrive well‑rested, avoid illness, refrain from smoking and alcohol on the day of donation, and bring a photo ID.
