Blood donation drives held in Berazategui and Nueve de Julio

Blood donation campaigns were recently conducted in the Argentine districts of Berazategui and Nueve de Julio to support public health systems.

In Berazategui, the municipal government organized a collection at the La Calle Municipal Cultural Complex in collaboration with the Boca Juniors Foundation and the Provincial Institute of Hemotherapy “Dra. Nora Etchenique”. The event aimed to support the Evita Pueblo Hospital, which is currently facing high demand. Local officials noted that Berazategui has operated as a “Donor Municipality” since 2022 to promote the donation of blood, organs, and bone marrow.

In Nueve de Julio, a donation drive took place at the Escuela Normal Superior N° 7. Organized alongside the Hemotherapy area of the Julio de Vedia Hospital, the initiative involved students, teachers, and local residents. Health officials highlighted that the region relies almost entirely on external collections and voluntary donations, contrasting with other areas of Buenos Aires province that rely more heavily on replacement donors.
