Blood donation drives held in France and Burkina Faso

Blood donation initiatives have taken place in different regions, focusing on increasing reserves and community engagement.

In the Val de Saône - Dombes sector of France, a collection organized by the Amicale de Villeneuve and surrounding communes in Chaleins resulted in 74 successful donations from 89 participants. Despite local demonstrations and recent regional mourning, organizers reported that the number of donors continues to progress, with future collections scheduled throughout 2027.

In Dandé, Burkina Faso, the local municipality organized a blood drive as part of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). The event collected 61 units of blood and simultaneously promoted local gastronomy under the theme ‘Produce Burkinabè, consume Burkinabè’. The initiative aimed to strengthen blood reserves while supporting national sovereignty through the consumption of local products.
