Blood donation drives held in Uzarići and Brčko

Multiple blood donation drives were recently held in Bosnia and Herzegovina to bolster local supplies.

In Uzarići, a record-breaking campaign organized by the Red Cross Široki Brijeg, the local community, and the University Clinical Hospital Mostar transfusion center collected 49 units of blood from 51 donors. A notable participant, Tomislav Nakić, donated blood for the 70th time. Following the event, delegations honored war victims at a local monument.

In the Brčko district, the Islamic Community organized a donation drive as part of the ‘Ti si ruža džennetska’ religious-cultural manifestation. Twenty volunteers participated in the event. Medical professionals noted that such field activities are vital for maintaining blood stocks, particularly for rare RHD-negative components during periods of lower supply.
