On 14 July 2026 a voluntary blood‑donation action in Tihaljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Red Cross Grude and the Transfusion Centre of the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar, attracted 28 donors. The event pushed the West Herzegovina County’s 2026 total to 1,026 doses, setting a new regional record.

A week earlier, on 8 July 2026, the Croatian Red Cross in Krk held a drive at the island’s health centre. The event saw 110 participants, with 99 successfully donating blood, demonstrating strong community solidarity during the tourist season.
