Blood donation drives in Bosnia and Montenegro collect dozens of units
In Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a voluntary blood‑donation event organised by the Red Cross Ljubuški and the Transfusion Centre of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar gathered 42 doses of blood from 42 donors. The drive was the fifth of 2026 in Ljubuški and the 31st this year in the West Herzegovina Canton.
In Plužine, Montenegro, the volunteer blood‑donors association DDK "Piva" marked its ten‑year anniversary by holding its 20th blood‑donation drive at the local hospital on 30 July. Organisers highlighted that the national blood‑transfusion institute’s supplies are at a minimum, urging all healthy adults to donate.
In Tivat, Montenegro, members of the school ship "Jadran" of the Montenegrin Navy participated in a traditional blood‑donation drive organized by the Tivat municipality, the local Red Cross branch and the Transfusion Institute of Montenegro (Kotor department). The event was open to municipal employees and any citizens wishing to help.
