Blood donation drives organized in Bouches-du-Rhône and Var

Multiple blood donation initiatives have been organized in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in partnership with the Établissement Français du Sang (EFS).

In Bouches-du-Rhône, the Sdis 13 fire service held a collection at its headquarters on October 13, 2026, as part of Resilience Week and during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Approximately thirty personnel participated in the event, which was supported by the Patrimoine group and the local staff association.

In Toulon, the Union Patronale du Var (UPV) is organizing a collection on October 23, 2026. The organization aims to collect 71 donations, with the goal of potentially saving 213 lives, as a single donation can provide red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Organizers emphasize the necessity of regular donations due to the limited shelf life of blood products.
