Blood donation drives organized in Castelnuovo di Farfa and Lavagna

Various regional health initiatives in Italy are calling for blood donations to address shortages and support routine medical activities.

In Castelnuovo di Farfa, Avis has scheduled a donation event for Sunday, October 25, starting at 8:00 AM on Via Roma. Local health authorities have noted that blood shortages are an ongoing emergency in the province of Rieti, requiring constant efforts from volunteers and healthcare facilities to maintain adequate supplies for both emergency and routine care.

In Lavagna, the hospital's transfusion center is hosting a dedicated donation morning in collaboration with the Virtus Entella sports club. Organized by Asl 4, the event features participation from club captain Luca Parodi and executive vice president Orazio Dell’Aversana to encourage community involvement. Donors are advised to arrive between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, though reservations are recommended.
