Blood Donation Drives Launched in Spain and Colombia

Local blood donation events are taking place across Spain, with campaigns scheduled in Rábade, A Laracha and Alicante this week to bolster summer blood reserves. In Colombia, the Red Cross, together with director Ayda Rodríguez, released a guide for World Blood Donor Day outlining the critical need for donors—four donations are required for each transfusion—and detailing eligibility, preparation tips and the option of component donation such as platelets.
