Italy promotes blood donation and community solidarity through various initiatives

Various regional initiatives across Italy are highlighting the importance of blood donation and community support. In Florence, Avis and Coldiretti Toscana collaborated to mark the 80th anniversary of Avis Firenze, emphasizing the link between healthy nutrition and the ability to donate blood. This event also served to reinforce a national memorandum of understanding between Avis, Coldiretti, and Campagna Amica to promote prevention and conscious eating.

In La Maddalena, an Avis blood drive successfully collected 28 units, notably engaging new young donors who followed the examples of their family members. Meanwhile, in Atripalda, a charity auction featuring autographed US Avellino 1912 football jerseys raised over 3,300 euros. The proceeds from the sale of jerseys from players such as Russo and Enrici are intended to fund the distribution of life-saving defibrillators throughout the local territory.

In Rivignano, the Afds section celebrated its 65th anniversary with a ceremony honoring long-term donors and emphasizing the vital role of volunteerism in maintaining community spirit.
