Blood Dungeon blends autoshooter mechanics with platforming

Blood Dungeon, developed by Messhof, is a new entry in the bullet heaven or autoshooter roguelike genre. Unlike many similar titles that utilize a top-down perspective, this game distinguishes itself by incorporating sidescrolling platforming elements reminiscent of Spelunky.

Players engage in combat where characters fire automatically on a cooldown, requiring strategic positioning and platforming skills—such as wall jumping and climbing—to manage enemies. The game features a deep progression system with over 100 weapons and upgrades, alongside permanent buffs unlocked through in-game currency and bones.

The title features a distinct 2D art style and a soundtrack described as dungeon drum 'n' bass by creator Matthew Hoey.
