Blood Red Shoes tours new album ‘Stay Lonely’

British rock duo Blood Red Shoes, consisting of Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell, continues to tour in support of their latest album, ‘Stay Lonely’. The band, which has been active for 22 years, recently performed at Club de La Paloma in Nîmes, France, and at Flex in Vienna, Austria.

In an interview regarding their new material, Carter explained that the title ‘Stay Lonely’ and their previous album ‘Get Tragic’ are somewhat ironic. She noted that the themes of loneliness and the lack of a ‘normal’ life are reflections of their long-term commitment to touring. Carter described the experience of being constantly on the road as something that can lead to feeling like an ‘alien’ when disconnected from conventional daily routines.
