Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement gameplay revealed at Tokyo Game Show

Publishers 505 Games and developer ArtPlay unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming gothic action RPG, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, during the Tokyo Game Show. The title serves as a prequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and expands the world created by Koji Igarashi.

The new footage introduces several new characters, diverse environments, and various gameplay mechanics. Set in 16th-century England with a 2.5D gothic art style, the story follows new heroes, Leonard and Alex, as they battle a villain named Elias and his demonic forces from a mysterious floating castle.

The game is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
