Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2026 kicks off at Catton Hall in Derbyshire
The 25th edition of the Bloodstock Open Air metal festival began with a four‑day program at Catton Hall, Derbyshire, drawing an estimated 20,000 fans. Headliners include US groove‑metal veterans Lamb of God, while other notable acts on the main stages are Bodycount, UK band URNE, Scottish slam‑metal group Party Cannon and thrash legends Testament.
The festival also highlights emerging talent on its New Blood and EMP stages. One featured act is Chekhov's Gun, a progressive metal band formed in 2024 that blends thrash influences with cello, violin and gothic elements. The group aims to reach a wider audience through the festival’s platform for unsigned musicians.
