Bloom Energy and Brookfield boost AI power partnership to $25 billion
Bloom Energy and Brookfield announced an expansion of their financing framework for AI‑infrastructure power projects, increasing the total commitment from $5 billion to $25 billion. The deal will fund the deployment of Bloom’s fuel‑cell systems to provide fast, clean onsite electricity for data centers and other high‑energy users as demand from AI workloads grows.
The announcement sent Bloom Energy shares up about 10‑12% in extended trading. Analysts noted the five‑fold increase highlights strong demand for clean power solutions in the AI sector. The partnership is part of Brookfield’s AI Infrastructure Fund, which aims to deploy $100 billion in infrastructure, and leverages Brookfield’s global asset base and Bloom’s fuel‑cell technology, already used by operators such as American Electric Power, Equinix and Oracle.
