Bloom Energy shares slip amid Fremont expansion plans and lawsuit

Bloom Energy Corporation’s stock fell about 2.5% on Thursday, trading as low as $221.21 after reaching a high of $249.45 earlier in the session. The decline follows a volatile trading day with volume slightly below its average.

The company reported quarterly revenue of $1.07 billion, up 165.5% year‑over‑year, and adjusted earnings of $0.78 per share versus a $0.39 consensus estimate, underscoring strong demand from AI‑driven data centers. Bloom is reportedly evaluating an expansion of its advanced‑manufacturing facility in Fremont, California, which could add hundreds of jobs and boost production capacity for fuel‑cell systems used in data‑center power supply.

At the same time, a class‑action securities lawsuit alleges that Bloom misled investors by claiming it had no China supply‑chain exposure while allegedly sourcing scandium through intermediaries linked to China. The complaint, covering purchases from February 2025 to July 2026, adds legal risk to the company’s outlook.
