Blora fiber optic project excavations linked to two accidents

Two accidents have been reported in Blora Regency involving excavations for a fiber optic cable installation project on a national road. The incidents occurred at different locations, specifically near the Gagak Rimang Terminal and in front of the Jepon Koramil.

The project, managed by Mora Republik, spans approximately 12.3 kilometers across the Blora, Jepon, and Jiken districts. Solihun, the Operational Manager for Central Java-DIY at Mora Republik, stated that the company is investigating the incidents and will check on the victims, who reportedly suffered bone fractures.

In response to the accidents, the Blora Regency Government's Department of Housing, Settlements, and Transportation (Dinrumkimhub) held a cross-sector traffic forum to address the issue. Mora Republik indicated they would review the performance of the vendors responsible for the field work to ensure compliance with safety instructions, including the placement of warning signs and banners.
