Blue-and-yellow macaw Ayla gains attention in São Paulo

A blue-and-yellow macaw named Ayla has gained social media attention for her interactions during bicycle rides in São Paulo. The bird, which lives with her owners Fábio and Grazielli, reportedly reacted when a young woman mistakenly referred to her as a parrot during a walk in the Ibirapuera Park area.

Ayla was legally acquired from a breeder in Rio de Janeiro four years ago. The habit of taking her on outdoor excursions began as a way for her owner to improve his cardiovascular health, eventually becoming a routine activity in the city.
