Blue Ant Media greenlights seven new factual original series

Blue Ant Media has announced the greenlighting of seven new and returning factual original series spanning the science, history, and wildlife genres. The content is intended for the company’s pay-TV and streaming portfolio, as well as for international licensing through Blue Ant Rights.

Blue Ant Studios will produce four history and science projects in-house: the second season of ‘Engineering From Above’, ‘How to Survive History’, ‘Secret Ops: Revealed’, and ‘Disasters from Above’. The wildlife and natural history portion of the slate includes two series from WildBear Entertainment, ‘Big Cats, Nine Lives’ and ‘Legion of the Shark’, alongside a special titled ‘Deep in the Heart 2: Texas Rivers’ produced by Fin & Fur Films.

The company’s integrated model aims to allow content commissioned for Canadian networks or global brands to move seamlessly across different platforms and territories.
